Some notes and images from our Kayak daytrip to Long Kei Wan

Long Kei Wan is one of the more scenic beaches of Hong Kong in the Sai Kung country park. It's a bit of a haul from UST -- 9.2 miles on google maps -- but a fairly nice day trip by kayak. We started out at 10:45am, launching teh boat around 11am. The way out was fairly uneventful three straight hours -- it's scenic most of the way. We only spent under an hour at the beach.. on the way back, fatigue and choppy waters in some stretches cost us an extra half hour, but nevertheless the boat was rinsed and racked by 6pm safely. Below is the google maps link to my local kayak routes, some we have done, the further ones we plan to do this year.
Ajay: Double heaven.

The images below show some of the scenes along the way, in particular, the nice volcanic rock formations in Sai Kung country park.
